Rattleing ??

umm yea my speakers in the back next to the back seat rattle like crazy... how do i stop the rattle .. do i need to get new speakers or fix the speaker cover????thanx

Mine do too if I have the bass cranked too much.

yea mee too ... i have the bass at the lowest level ...and it sucks, i want to bump the monsoon!!!!

If you turn up the bass, and they rattle, then they might be blown. If it doesn't sound like it's that, or it's rattling, then the screws may need to be tightened.

yes make sure the speaker is mounted correctly(youll be able to tell if they are blown, prolly not blown tho) otherwise make sure the speaker grill is in there correctly and sometimes might have to put some foam between the grill and the panel to keep them tight seeing as the grilles have a good amount of movement, they will rattle like crazy with lots of sound.

There is supposed to be fabric around the ege of the speaker grill, but sometimes it falls off. I would take some adhesive backed felt and cut it in thin stripes and stick it on the grill so that the hard plastic does not touch the sheetmetal. Then the grill can vibrate all it wants, but you will no hear it.

Now if the grill is off and the actual speaker is rattling, some thing is either wrong with it or it's not screwed on tight. Check to find out what is actually making the noise.

BTW, if you have the monsoon on the TA, those speakers can be bought new from GM Parts Direct for about $35 each.
