Gauge and shiftlight wiring
I got two gauges and a shiftlight to install, I am a bit confused though, I dont know where to get these source wires from.
Shiftlight:
-Needs an rpm sending wire (Where can I get this from?, I would assume out of the pcm, but what color is it?)
-Needs 12v input (whats the best way to get this near where the apillar gauge pod would be?)
-Needs a wire connected to the ignition switch so its only on when the car is on(where is the best way to get this near where the apillar gauge pod would be?)
Air fuel Sensor: It is narrowband now but will eventually be a wideband one soon. In order to get narrowband operation, what do i need to tap into for the oxygen sensor input?
Oil Temp sensor:
Uses, a 12v line as well as a ignition switch, i think i could tap into the same wires, correct?

I put a shift light in my car and i tapped into the white wire #10 slot in the pcm on a 2000 trans am. That is the tach signal wire. I ran my hot (12 volt) to my fuse pannel on the side of the dash.

What about the a/f sensor, where do i get it's input from? Can i get it from the pcm or does it have to come out of an o2 sensor, and if so, which colored wire?
Also, how do i differntiate between 12v hot lines that stay on all the time and ones taht are connected to ignition and turn on when the car is on?

so today i wired up my tach, and air/fuel
and i was wondering, for everyone else who has an air/fuel hooked up
is your reading ALL over the chart? something seems alittle wrong with mine.
the gauge is ALWAYS cycling, it will go fall off the lean side, then back to the middle regardless of rpm.
how are your guys air/ fuels workin??

I wired my shiftlight:
pin 10 white off of pcm. To rpm input.
12v switched to a fuse
ground to my trunk latch ground since it was a convenient black wire in the area.
A/f gauge:
pin 69: purple off of pcm to Input
12v switched to the same fuse
groung to the trunk latch button ground
Go here to look up pcm pin specs if you arent sure, they go by year.

Oil temp sensor:
I just followed their schematic. Using same power source and ground.
I am ticked though.... I was going to put my shiftlight in my vent. I ended up breaking my dang vent. I need to superglue one of my blades and it should go. Any tips to reassembly? I had a lot of difficulty with that. I don't think it will work out well in the vent, as it is a bigger shift light. Where else do you guys put yours?, i sort of want it hidden.

air to fuel sucks unless hooked via wideband. Here's what mine used to do before it was wideband:
