rear hatch speaker question
rear hatch speaker question my 94 t/a doesnt have any sail panel speakers in the rear hatch area, would i be able to just buy the sail panels off a new model and swap em in? I think i want to get some and hook them up to my amp.

Which speakers are you looking for? The sail panels are the ones next to the rear seat. The hatch speakers are the ones in the plastic trim under the hatch.

Well, the hatch trim panels are physically interchangeable between late and early 4th generation models but the colors aren't exactly the same (close but not exact). The speakers back there are only 4" so I don't think you'd really gain anything by buying panels just to mount small speakers. You could modify the panels to mount something bigger but is it really that important to have more rear fill than you already get with the sail panel speakers of your four speaker system?

Well if he uses Mid-Bass in the sails, like the 10-speaker setup, the rears help alot. I currently have 12 speakers heh I put a 2-way 4.5" coaxle into the 4" mid spot so I have 4 tweeters back there. The tweeter on the 2-way though puts out different tone than the factory one, so it helps. I think it helped alot, and I like it.
yeah stock they are 4" but can be easily modded to fit 6 x 9", what i was planning on doing was having the front and hatch speakers run off the amp and leaving the rear(back seat) speakers running off the headunit, then have a 10" sub in the back
