BOSE speaker question.....

BOSE speaker question..... My old 95 Z28 was recently wrecked by the new owner. I was wondering if i could pull out the bose speakers and put it into my 00 WS6. Someone told me that the bose speakers are "integrated" into the cars system, but it really sounds like a bunch of BS if you ask me. But still i wanted to be sure if this is possible. Cause the Monsoon speakers suuuuuuuuuuck lol. thanks.

Why would you want to do that? I had bose till I ripped them out cause they sucked. And the bose system is designed to work only with the bose head units. Special frequencies or something stupid. Just go buy some JL door speakers and be happy.

In that car all i did was pull out the bose headunit and put a Pioneer on there and they sounded 100 times better. i dont know how you can say they suck lol. Either way the monsoons are getting trashed, but bose is my first choice if they'll work.

The Bose system in early 4th generation Camaros is completely different from the Bose "system" they sell now. It was an integrated system with a specific head unit designed to provide high-voltage, low-level signal to high-impedance speakers with individual amps. The Camaro system was available in 3-speaker and 5-speaker configurations. Both had extended-range speakers in the doors and a sub in the hatch area, the 5-speaker version added extended-range speakers in the sail panels.
You can pull the Bose system and install it in a later 4th-gen but you'll have to install the entire system (head unit and all speakers with their amps) and rewire so that the speakers have floating grounds as well as power and ground for the amp at each speaker location.
There are adapters available that will let you use a non-Bose head unit with Bose speakers/amps so you could keep you existing head unit but you would still have to rewire for the speakers/amps.
