headlights go dim then back to norm
ever since i bought my car I have noticed that the low beam head lights will go dim for half a sec then back to full strength.
could this be a battery issue like not enough juice? or did the guy I buy it from do something screwy with the wiring?

Watch your voltmeter, and if its dropping under 13 then charging over 13, I'd say it was your alternator going. I just went through two of them, and a word of advice if it is your alternator, Dont buy the duratrash **** from autozone, and dont forget to disconnect the battery before you go wrenching on it!!

No it's not a random occurance it has pretty much always done this
I bought the car 6/11/05 with 32,900k on it
Its hard to remember, plus I only notice this at night obviously but I do believe the voltmeter dips a tiny amount and I can here a noise when the light dies down
I really hope that it's not the altenator because I recently brought my car in for a tune up and that ran about $500 after they found that the rear diff had a leak and replaced the diff pinion seal which was about 200 extra than I thought. Then I drove back to school after this was done and my mastercylinder went out another 400 ( always thought it was due to the fact when I had the car tuned up they drained and replaced the brake fluid). Got new tires for christmas 350 there.
So if I need a new altenator is this an expensive piece?
