I don't know to many subs that are better then the W7, i have had one hooked up to the JL 1000x1 in a tahoe and there was one guy that I knew of in the NAVY that had a louder one but he had 2 15 Kicker L7's.

There are lots of subs as good or better than W7's. Not bashing them, most people just aren't familiar with the brands though. JBL W10GTi, Adire Brahma, Resonant Engineering XXX, CDT ES series, even some of the Fosgate Competition stuff you never see. Then again I've seen and heard expensive stuff sound like crap because of the install. Some of it sounds like crap because it's purely for SPL and not SQ. Some balance both well. W7's are nice but definetly not the end all be all. By the way...I think everyone wanted pics of the $2500.00 system!! That's gotta be a hell of a set up!! Looking forward to the pics!!

Oh, come on. Don't get too carried away. Just my gear costs more than that and I did the install myself. Trust me, there are a lot of folks with mega dollar systems out there. Crazy stuff.

Freaking awesome, then you have the high end home subwoofers that cost more than a car. Like I said, crazy stuff.

Yeah, without him we're getting way off topic.

I don't even consider the jackhammer to be a real speaker. You really don't get what your paying for so they are not practical at all. AT ALL. Just write that one off as an oddity.

If I did have $2500 to spend on a pair of subs you better believe I'd get the Linear Motor ones from TC Sounds for sure over the JL W7's. That technology provides super low distortion at high output levels. You just can't beat it.

I also had the XXX 15 but I fried the coils when I was using my tsunami amp on it. Very loud sub until I burned it up

The local "shop" can get the BB10DVC to me for $210.00 with tax and shipping.

>>>
Is that a decent price for a 10?

BT

edit, I actually heard it on a junk amp and it was really nice.
