If anything, you'd want to go with either a full-range speaker like the 17C2's (they are a pretty good value for the price), or a mid-bass speaker which handles frequencies typically between 50Hz and 2500Hz. A mid-range (typically 300Hz to 3000Hz) might potentially leave a hole between it and your subwoofer.
I like my Pioneer midbasses, but I think that $185 is too much for you to shell out unless you're sure what you want. A less expensive alternative is the Audiobahn AMD60Q's.
