To the original poster, I thought i'd put the above info in a easy-to-read context:
1- Balance your power output between subs/mid/highs better. don't need 3K watts, esp. with a hatchback.
2- HO alt. is a must if you plan on jamming 1000+ watts RMS. Get a alt with high IDLE output.
3- Capacitors are a band-aid fix for systems with OE alternators, do a HO amp, upgrade underhood wiring, and 1/0 gauge amp power/ground wires.
4- Get a good quality battery, regardless of brand. I've killed my yellow top 3 times and it keeps ticking.
