Default looking for sub around $100, what do you think

Looking for a sub for around $100 for a subthump box, and I had two picked out that I liked, but wanted to get the opinions of experts since I'm a moron when it comes to subwoofer quality

The first one is a RF P3D410 (can get on ebay for around $100):
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/produ...n_US&p_status=

The second is an Audiobahn Alumn10N
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...ACD6E9C524D5C3

what do you guys think? Is there a better alternative then these two?

ikesound.com I got an Alpine type-R 10". Dual voice coil, 500+ watts RMS. I should have mine in this weekend, pushing the 500 rms to it.

Those boxes can fit 12", but you gotta clearance the baffle yourself. They should really make them in 12" flavors as well.

How many times will I have to mention that the Type R sucks before you guys listen?

the specs on the AW-1006T actually make it look way better than the Alpine, although I know specs can be messed with...interesting choice I have to make now

Audiobahn specs downright lie. Audiobahn is crap - it's just chrome plated crap, so that suckers buy it.

And most people thought my KLH 3-way w/ 12" woofer speakers sounded good in my first home audio setup when I was 16. Doesn't mean they weren't ***.

Edit to add:

It's not like better brands cost more than Audiobahn, either. If someone gets Audiobahn for free or super cheap (and not just saying "He sold me these two subs for $100, and he said they retail at three times that!") and it sounds good enough to them, fine. But to recommend them at any given pricepoint where better brands can be had is just bad.

'course you get this a lot from people who just haven't had a lot of experience with different brands... Not that they are stupid or bad people or anything, but they are ignorant and probably shouldn't be recommending stuff. "I have this and like it!" is a terrible recommendation any time without comparing to other stuff.

Edit again:

And yes, a lot of us are guilty of this at some time or another. I bought Audiobahn once upon a time based on a friend's recommendation, and thought they were great, and recommended them for a while. They weren't terrible, but I could have done better for the price, and I know that now and have heard lots of other stuff that is better.

haha. I am not saying they don't lie on their specs or that they are the best thing out there, but I really dont think they are that terrible. Then again I may be completely wrong.

which sub would u recamend to me dragonrage?
i am looking for a ten to be powered by a 460 watt rms amp that will work well in a box exactly like subthumps. will the 11Kv.2 Subwoofer take it and which voice coil setup would you recamend if the amp produces 460 watts rms at 4 ohm.

also in your test what is better a high number or a low number?
i am looking for a music sub that will bump pretty good, i am not trying to go to any sound comps with this thing!
