Winding my own alternator
I do consider myself capable of this. I'm no EE major, but I did go to a vocational school for electronics. I know what I'm doing in a general sense, but I have never specifically rebuilt an alternator before, so I could use some advice.
I've been using Google to find some information, but I haven't found too much specific info for this application. Been finding a lot of info about windmill generators.

Advice. . .Don't. Buy a professionally manufactured one. All you need is for one of your wraps of wire to contact the casing and then weld itself to the housing or throw sparks inside the engine bay. Advice. . .Don't!

I'm not sure you'll get the power you can get from other companies though. I am running a 200 amp Excessive Amerage alternator and its amazing. With the meter hooked up I saw over 100 amps at idle

See my thread.
I'm thinking of doing the AD244 swap too. I'm thinking of leaving the stock AD244 for now, but I want to relocate it to the top of the passenger side.

Wondering how much longer of a belt I will need.
Ebay sells rebuild kits for the AD244 to 200A. But the stocker is fine for now, as they put out 145A, 100A @ idle. The 130Ds I heard only put out around 40A at idle.

(sorry man)
