Need Help
The first thing you should be thinking about to improve sound quality is replacing the head unit. That is the major source of distortion in the Monsoon system. Replacing it will make an immediate improvement in sound quality (especially at higher volume) without breaking the bank.
For additional bass...it depends on how much additional bass you want. Replacing the sail panel speakers with the EU-700s will give you richer, fuller, clearer bass but they won't really add to the bass - they just make the existing bass sound better. Most people who say they want more bass are looking to increase the amount of bass rather than just the quality. They want something that "hits" and makes them feel the bass more than just hear it. To do that you'll have to add a subwoofer and amp. A stealth box is the common way to add a relatively small sub. Again, depending on make and model, you can do it without spending a huge amount of money. Just don't be expecting to do all this with the cheapest components available. You get what you pay for and if you go the Best Buy/Circuit City/WalMart route you can actually end up with a system that sounds worse than stock.
I say HU first, then speakers and you can decide if you want smaller woofers in the sails of a stealth setup or whatever.
Sounds like a good plan...Does it matter which HU I go with are there any limitations I should know about? Also If I buy that SWI-X I can keep the controls on the steering wheel riiiiight?
SORRY for all the noob questions I just dont want to buy the wrong things....
