Default sail panel speaker blown

One of my sail panel speakers is blown and I am wondering if there is any replacement for them that will work with the factory setup. I am not much of an audio person........................I think that the factory setup sounds fairly good, but the one speaker sounds like ****. Some guy at an audio shop told me one time that it would be hard to get aftermarket speakers to sound good for some reason...................maybe they are 2ohm...........I don't know ........Either way I like the bass that those speakers put out and I would like to get some speakers that would do the same or better and would be a straight forward direct replacement.

help me out please

thanks

especially since you have the Pontiac version of the Monsoon system.....I recommend these: https://ls1tech.com/forums/wiring-stereo-electronics/639901-install-guide-w-pics-upgrading-factory-monsoon-subs-6-5-ones-ed-eu700s.html

If you liked it, get a stock replacement. Nothing wrong with that, and will be 10x easier than putting in the eu-700s.

Yea....but what's to say the stock isn't going to go bad again? I do not know the price of them either...

Either way, not sure how it's 10x easier than splicing wire into the factory ones...if you are concerned about the spacer, one guy mentioned that he purchased one from Best Buy and it worked fine - so making one is not even necessary.

where would I even buy stock replacements?? I don't think I would bother buying any used factory ones. I would like a more permanant fix. That doesn't really look like too much trouble as long as I could find out exactly how to hook them up to the pontiac 4 ohm system correctly.............................Where is the best place to buy them.....How do these stack up against memphis or any of the other speakers out there.

Stock replacements from the dealer?

I cannot tell you how they compare to others because I do not know all the other options for your application....I know of several other midbass drivers that people have liked or also suggested for the Camaro, but not any DVC replacements for your car -- the reason they work well for you is because Pontiac's have DVC 4 ohm subs in the sails, and these subs can be purchased in DVC 2 ohm or DVC 4 ohm. You would wire exactly the same way that the factory speakers are wired, using all 4 wires per side.
