The auto EQ and auto TA is kick butt and makes a WORLD of difference.
If there is another brand of deck that has these features, post it up, as I would like to see it.

I still see none getting owned. He asked for someone to post a comparible, it wasnt a debate. Aside from that Id take the 880 in a hearbeat over the 9815 and would be *maybe* debateable with the 7995. A 7998 - maybe you have something to talk about.
Either way the DRZ is a superior unit to both of your Alpines.
And lets not get started on the highly claimed 4V preouts from Alpine...

hey 6spdcoupe, what do you think about Alpines new PDX line of amps?? I have read some decent things about them and was just curious to what you thought of them? I would be much more willing to run one of those PDX amps than I would be one of their headunits. Not saying there is anything wrong with their HU's, just I prefer Pioneer myself.
thanks,
Paul

Concept is good, product is fair, much better can be had for similiar or the same money. I was an Alpine fan for many years and stocked them regularly. Unfortunately like alot of larger well known companies a time comes when they decide to cut back costs and ride the wave of a name. Alpine isnt the first one to do this and surely wont be the last.
I'm guessing by the questioning that your possibly looking for a small footprint? Perhaps look at Audisons or Genesis Profiles?
