Then Id stick with my first choice of Eclipse. Many years of dealing with almost all of the above its proven to be the best choice.

Only downside to Eclipse is that they aren't very user friendly, in my opinion. Before I bought my 7800 I checked out a few Eclipse decks... I just didn't like the interface very much. The 7800 was a lot easier for me to use. I'm sure I would have learned eventually, but this was for about 45 minutes in the audio shop. In those 45 minutes I didn't get along with Eclipse very well lol

Most find it more user friendly than the other comparable options. Although to each their own. Second best seller would be Premiers though. Alpines = eh not for a few years. Their quality went far down hill and theyre still riding out the infamous name. ( feel free to flame the n00b now).

im going to say sony they are equel to alpine or pionere any day. i put sony in my 18 wheeler i run coast to coast, its been in my truck for 3 years,it is on the whole time im on the road. just to give u an idea of how long it runs every trip,it takes me 8 days to go from NC to CA and back thats 192 hours for 1 trip i run 2 1/2 trips per month for 3 years it works perfect, that says a lot for quality, paid 250 for it. ill put it up against any radio out their, just show up with your radio with 17,280 hours and still going of play time on it,to compare with mine. my choice would be
#1 sony,alpine
#2 whatever
im really not braging i live and breath radio so i can say sony is tough.

Your a very lucky individual. Sonys are severely lacking product quality.

Quoted from a higher up the foodchain Sony employee: "We dont endorse the Xplod line, but rather use it as a write off to balance other areas of products. At least taking a hit every year Can pay off." Names will remain anonymous.

I have a Sony deck 6 years old that plays still... my Pioneer is about 1000x better, but the Sony was fairly cheap for me when I was in high school

I wouldn't buy a Sony deck again though lol
