Don, you need a thick skin to read the audio section here.
Every once in a while you get somebody who will actually listen, but the majority of the time there are people like Kage

Kage, 6spdcoupe has equipment in his car that easily costs 10x more than yours. And no, he wasn't ripped off and did not make a mistake in his purchase. Your system won't impress him. There comes a point where all the fun has to come to a stop and you have to realize that you could learn a few more things about car audio.

Alpine isn't the best on the market like you believe.

LOL that's funny. If you even knew what any of his equipment was, you wouldn't say that.

See what? You can look at his sig and look up the equipment yourself.
Just to give you a ballpark figure though, rough guess is around $9k for everything in his sig.

You can ask anybody in the car audio world who actually knows what they're talking about and 98% of them will have the names of his equipment in their top five brands on the planet.

You have to give respect where respect is due.

WTF are you talking about respect, i respect the guy i think he's cool. It's all in good fun.
And good for him that he has the most expensive system on the forum, that most of the guys here will never afford or want.
I don't think they would be driving Fbodys as DD's if they could.

Are u his bitch or something??

Model Reviewed:
Alpine CDA-7878

The five advanced Bass Engine Pro functions, awesome look (and easy to use) new design make this a sure contender for head unit of the year. The degree of sound control it gives you is essentially equivalent to having an Alpine PRA-H400 signal processor built in. It will also play the MP3 tracks you've burned onto a CD-R or RW disc—all 12 hours worth! DHE processing enhances the MP3 sound to the digital quality you're used to. And with a 45W x 4 power amplifier, three PreOut’s and Versatile Link compatibility, the CDA-7878 will give you the power and control that a super-high performance system demands.

Summary:
This is the predecessor to the cd-700II Wow what a super rare find on Ebay! A brand new old stock from 1989. This thing retail for $1200.00 big ones back in 1989. Its argubaly the best built and sounding Nakamichi had to offer. The mechanics and transport is superior to the cd-700II. It use a top of the line transport made by Sony. It also contains other top of the line Sony parts. It has a separte tuner box dual 16-bit d/a converters

Strengths:
The best Nakamichi had to offer incredible preamp& cd section musicaly best Nakamichi cd transport (made by Sony) WTF??? most reliable Nakamichi ever built Audiophile super-natural laid back SQ (Nakamichi's signature sound) Separate tuner box for less interference Analog **** volume, bass, treble, fader, balance Pull-out antitheft capability

Weaknesses:
The vol *** is unmarked, and feels rather cheap

Similar Products Used:
Alpine cda-7949, Clarion hx-d10, JVC, Sony, Phillips, Pioneer,
