Hey guys recommendation for headunit?
Hey guys recommendation for headunit? Hey i'm looking to change the head unit in my TA. Couple things i'm looking for i'm used to using alpine but just figured id get some opinions first ok well anyways...It has to work with the steering wheel controls like volume and **** etc, Has to have a good output I have stock speakers in now but in time i'm planning on changing all of them and adding 1 10inch sub, and basically would be nice to have a remote and I think thats it. Looking to spend under $200. Any help? I usually get my stuff from crutchfield.com just give me options i was thinking of a alpine or pioneer head unit but I wanna make sure it has the stuff listed above thanks.

for around $200, i'd probably end up getting this Excelon KDC-X591.

Looks like a pretty solid unit with tons of features, and i think it looks good aesthetically, too

Not sure i want to blow all my money on the 9885, do you think the 4volt preamps are alot better over the 2 volt.

Found the CDA-9885 for $240 Vs. $170 for the CDA-9883 ? -- you'll have to make that decision, $70 difference. 4V would be better in theory but 2V will be enough if you don't plan on splitting the signal from one pre-out amongst multiple amps for some reason.
