Whats the general consensus on this, worth the money?:

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...9d9dd3b2bc99c5

its the amped, custom enclosured, 10 in sub from ws6 store for $337.94.

When i bought my car all the speakers where replaced with kicker speakers. And im looking for a little more bass. I've had big systems in the past, and honestly hardly ever turned them up. I don't listen to a lot of rap anymore, mainly new and old rock. So this caught my eye, but i thought i run past you guys first.

Or if it would be better just to buy the box and sub set $229.54, and get my own amp lemme know. Recommendations would be much appreciated!

thanks!

I personally don't like the looks of the Thunderform box...and their subs aren't considered the best. The self powered unit limits you on power as well....thought I don't know the specs of the sub and if it would be worth powering with your own amp.

I would go for the carpeted Subthump.com box, a nicer sub (search), and amp of your choice.

I just bought the box from SubThump.com and got the biggest 10" sub and a dedicated Fosgate amp for it. Unfortunately I had removed em because I started running my car at the track and needed to put my car on a diet. I posted the sub & amp up here and on LS1.com several times for sale, but no one wants em so now they're collecting dust in my closet...

They def made a huge difference in sound. People thought I was running like two 12's or something.

I had one of these awhile back and it is not too bad. The sub is a 10" MTX 4500 and is average. The powered version has a weak amp and would definitely pass on the powered version. A better route is getting a Subthump Stealth Box and use the eD subs that they offer. Otherwise, a Alpine Type S or JL 10W3v2 would fit nicely. Get a nice amp (400x1 rms) and would will be rockin'.

I have the MTX box that looks just like it with a 10'' JL W0 sub and it sounds great, not too much bass, not too little...just right. I bought a seperate amp for mine cuz I don't really like the powered units. As far as MTX subs go.
I've had subs from them before and wasn't too happy with them. JL or Alpine would be the way to go
