Default 1.5 DIN - anyone want a decent one?

I was just wondering, if any of you stereo guys would buy a 1.5DIN aftermarket headunit, if
it had all the gadgets and doo-dads like the damn singleDIN sized ones out on the market
I would buy one in a heartbeat, if they made one like the brand new alpines, or the new sonys'
with the video like display

doesnt it seem like most GM and Chrysler people would buy these instead of the single din, if they
were available?
I personally think we need to get in contact with one of the major manufactorers about this,
and get them to get up and make us one worth a crap.

until that happens, i will keep buying factory replacements

Default Re: 1.5 DIN - anyone want a decent one?

well, pioneer sells 2, and alpine has sold a few. The other companies who make them are audiovox, and jensen. never used audiovox, but its basically a factory replacement, and the Jensen decks, i have had a couple, and they're junk. (but they're warranty service is 100% better than anybody elses, got a 100% CASH refund from jensen after using the deck for 365 days)

It economics, sell more universal, jower price, and then you continue to sell more.

Or make a custom piece, and sell less, due to market, and more expensive, due to selling less.

This is why the alpine is no longer sold.

oh, and for the record, i have bought 2 Deh-P77dh (pioneers) 1 Jensen cd/tape, and 1 jensen CD only. So 4 din 1/2 purchases in the last 5 years, so yes, i would be willing. ...I used to work for jensen, so the cost, is why i bought them.

Ryan.
