use one big amp.. but i would go w/ an amp that has some external fuses .. it has saved my amp from frying. and probally would have saved a ton of money.. i love the jbl amps.. not much of a fan of jl just because they are a bit much when it comes to the components in their mother boards. where as rebuilding them is not cool. and they dont have any external fuse go take a look at some jbl mono amps. i think youll be satisfied for the price

You can fuse any amplifier. Don't make that the basis for your decision.

If you are looking to save a little money, a single kx600.1 would give you the power needed. Plus if you ever decide you need more power, you could buy another 600.1 and "strap" them together making the same 1200 watt power. However, if you have the money right now, a 1200.1 would be awesome. And as a matter of personal preference I would go w/ Kicker.

US amps makes some pretty good units. So does memphis. Here's a wiring chart from another forum. I'm pretty sure those are dvc 4 ohm so you might want to make sure the amp is 1 ohm stable.

Dual subs
Dual Voice Coil
2 ohms = .5 ohm load
2 ohms = 2 ohm load
2 ohms = 8 ohm load

3 ohms = .75 ohm load
3 ohms = 3 ohm load

4 ohms = 1 ohm load
4 ohms = 4 ohm load

6 ohms = 1.5 ohm load
6 ohms = 6 ohm load

8 ohms = 2 ohm load
8 ohms = 8 ohm load

I can get you wiring diagrams for any of those also.

What's your budget for the amp that would help alot. You had mentioned JL which is a very expensive NAME so I tried to find something in that price range. Also where are you pricing them at. PM me if you don't wanna say on here.

That list makes no sense at all... does that means dual 2 ohm subs can wire down to .5 ohm, 2 ohm, and 8 ohm? And dual 4 ohm subs can wire down to 1 ohm or 4 ohm? Dual 6 ohm wires down to 1.5 ohm or 6 ohm? Dual 8 ohm wires down to 2 ohm or 8 ohm?
If that is indeed what that list is saying, it is all completely wrong.

What makes it wrong. This is for two subs. I double checked and jlaudio's site agrees w/ me since that's where it come from.

2ohms

8 ohms

These are for dual subs. I can get you single also.
