I have a Sirius Starmate 4 and I was wondering how can I hard wire the power supply.

The easiest way is to wire in one of those cigarette lighter/power outlet extension cords behind the dash and then plug in the original satellite radio cord. If the power outlet extension cord has a plug on the other end you can remove it and just connect the positive and ground wires - the yellow wire (+) and the black wire (-) in the black radio connector are convenient.

The reason you want to keep the original satellite radio plug is that it is also a transformer - the Sirius radios use 5V power so they would fry if connected directly to a 12V power source.
