hey just wondering if anyone could help me decide between the
polk MM 2104 10 inch subs or the Kicker Comp VR 07CVR102 10 in subs. And also what amp would you recommend for powering them? I would like to get a JL audio 300/2 amp but the price is a little high for me.

is there a reason you want this amp specifically? I don't know if I would purchase it for a sub -- you were planning only one sub, correct? Either way -- you might want a larger amp for just one sub (or at least a class D monoblock) and you'll definitely want more power if you plan on two subs. That amp may be better suited for higher end components or midbass.

You don't wanna go with a 2 channel amp. You want a Class D Amp for subs. If you want Hifonics get THIS. Then get the 10" Kicker L7's your looking at in Dual 4 Ohm. Then bridge them for 1 ohm and set your gain correctly.

ok for the momos or the CVR's, definately the CVR's. the CVR's are about 400rms and are very power hungry but well worth the money. very nice sound.for a L5 or L7 definately the L7. i kno for the 12s the L7 can compete with 2 L5's. its gona give you great low bass. the 12L54 is 1200peak/600rms and the 12L74 is 1500peak/750rms, the 10s are a bit lower. so there both gona require a big amp. one L7 is plenty of power tho, 2 will easily give you a head ache

you do, i work in car audio sales. it all depends on what amp your running. you have to match up the RMS on the amp and the subs. yo can run a 1000w desent off brand then you can run a 750w kicker amp and you can very easily tell there is a difference. specially on an L7 because it puts out such low and clean bass.

I have 2 10" L7's in the back of my Z28 with a fosgate T5002 amp and OMG man It hits hard as hell bro you can hear me b4 you see me and when you sit in the car it makes your ear drums pull in and out and that is with a lil over 500 true watts going to each sub had the L5's and blew them in 2 months had the L7's for a lil over 6 months now and love them and I was never a kicker fan but the power in the L7's will impress you
