Horn problem! Please help!

Horn problem! Please help! There isnt a pattern that my horn does it in, but every once in a while it just sounds like it loses it power. What I mean by that is, that it sounds weak and soft with a higher pitch than usual as its suppose to sound loud, strong, and low pitched. What is wrong with it and what can I do to fix it? Thanks

Re: Horn problem! Please help! Your low side is trying to die on you. It is pretty common. I think a replacement low horn (there is a high and low side, designated by a "H" or an "L") costs about 10 bucks.

Re: Horn problem! Please help! $10 from a dealership...yeah right! LOL A dealership actually sells parts that are under $20? Anyhow, I take it thats where I can purchase one from...a dealership? What do I tell them that I need? Whats the name of the part or part number? Its the low side that I need right? Thanks

Re: Horn problem! Please help! God no, dont go to the dealer, just to to autozone or something similar and tell them you need a low-side horn. Its shaped like a little snail, and has a big "L" on it for low. Theyll know what you need. 
Re: Horn problem! Please help! This happened to me a while back and I went to the dealer they wanted some outrageous price (120 I think) I found the whole assembly somewhere used for like 30 bucks. But the autozone way sounds cheaper and your getting a new part.

Re: Horn problem! Please help! I can get a new one from the dealer for $30 and its a OEM part. Id rather get that than a factory replacement from an auto parts store. So how does that price for a OEM one sound? Thanks
