what kind of weatherpack connectors are you using? and how many are you going to crimp?

I personally just use a pair of needle nose, and then attack the crimp with a normal crimper.

They make special tools for weatherpack connectors, but cheapest i have found is $90 if interested, PM me, and i'll send you the link.

Ryan.

Waytek wire sells the weatherpak connectors and
they also sell tools for 'em. But I just squish
with a generic crimping tool (which doesn't work
all that cleanly) and solder the wires.

Waytek has some funny minimum order quantities
but they ship fast and are OK to deal with.

FYI- Waytek's min orders (as of 7/2004):
100 pieces or $5, which ever is less of 1 item
$35 total order or an additional $5 charge

I have a Paladin 1300 crimper for amateur radio cables. I use the #2033 die set for WeatherPack connectors, as shown at http://gopherbaroque.webs.com/apps/p...otoid=81304723

I got the Pressmaster crimp tool frame and weatherpack die set from Pegasus Racing - it was certainly not cheap, but has worked great for all of the connections I've made, and I've made a LOT of those connectors at this point.
