Possible to get a nice head unit with Aux input for $150 or less?
I would really like a stereo that has one so I can plug my Sirius into it vs the fm modulation so I can enjoy some better sound quality.
Anything out there that you would recommend in the $150 or under price range that will give me the aux and still maintain some decent sound quality?
thanks in advance!
What kind of Sirius unit do you have?
There may be another connection available for it.
Here are some options:

Price ranges from $15 to $80 depending on whether you get a AI-Net adapter, M-Bus adapter, or iPod adapter. The adapter you need will probably be $15.
all I care about is a decently strong signal, like my alpine has the 5volt out I think it is and it made a noticable difference.
other than that a seperate subwoofer output / volume control is all I care about.
what I have now is a CTA-1505 from Alpine so as long as it sounds as good as one of those I am a happy camper.
all i have is a 5 channel soundstream and polk seperates up front and coax in back with a mtx thunderform.
very basic. I just like it to remain clear don't care about loud.

The sound is okay for me, but I'm not a fanatical audiophile.

They also may not know the answer.
Which network does your head unit use?
M-Bus, Ai-net, other?
I couldn't find the specs online when I looked.
It should say in the manual if you still have it.

It looks like it is Ai-Net.
These Ai-Net adapters should work if you don't have the CD Changer
"PIE Alpine AI-Net to RCA Adapter ALP/AI-RCA" ($15):

"PIE Alpine AI-Net to 3.5mm Plug Adapter ALP/AI-3.5M" ($15):

If you do have the CD Changer, you may need this:
"PIE Alpine AI-Net Aux-Input Switcher ALP/AI-AUX" ($55):

The part that has me concerned though is that the descriptions for those adapters say that they are for Alpine head units with "CDA" in the model number. Yours is "CTA". That may or may not be significant since your head unit does use Ai-Net (according to that manual I found).
