Re: IPOD MP3 player Yes, that is the only way you would get an input into the stock deck. I found a converter that might work for you. It converts the cd changer connector on the back of the unit to a pair of RCA's you can plug the output of your IPOD into. I would suggest calling them and seeing if this adapter would work.

Re: IPOD MP3 player I haven't bought on yet, but I see them pretty cheap on Ebay right now. I want to know that its possible before I buy one. I've heard that the FM modulators dont sound as good as a regular input. How does your sound?

Re: IPOD MP3 player An FM Modulator would work, but there is a sacrifice of sound quality involved. The reason is that the signal on the output from the modulator has been FM modulated, effectively putting it through a bandpass filter. All signal below 50Hz, and above 15Khz will be lost. This is one of the reasons that CD's always sound better than FM radio.

Re: IPOD MP3 player I looked at that link. It seems that you must have a cassette player with a aux button to signal the changer. So how would you do that with a CD player in the dash. There must be a way to get the signal to the head unit and a way for the stock head unit to switch to the Ipod, without using a FM modulator. I prefer the best sound I can get so I dont really want the FM mod thing.

Re: IPOD MP3 player Oh sorry, since you mentioned the optional CD changer, I assumed that meant you had the cassete unit. I think the only way you are going to get this to work, is either with the FM modulator, or an aftermarket deck.
