hey guys, i dont know a whole heck of a lot about sound systems, just the basics. i want to run two kicker cvr 10's or the same size fosgate P2, now do i need the 2 ohm, or the 4 ohm subs? i want to hook them up to a hifonics ZXi1006, 1000 watt 2-channel A/B class amp. all i need is a two channel because i'm only running two subs, right? thanks a lot. and if this wont even work, let me know lol.

get a class d mono block, better for subs. if the amp is 1 ohm stable get the dual 4 ohm woofers so the amp sees a total of 1 ohm, if the amp is 2 ohm stable get the dual 2 ohm woofers so the amp will see a total of 2 ohms.

Depending on how stable the amp is you can run multiple subs off a monoblock. A monoblock amp is 1 channel but you can run as many as 4 or more subs in some cases from one amp as long as the subs and amp are the right wattage and impedance. Some amps are stable down to .5 ohm. Here's a wiring diagram that may help you some:

so which is better? running two subs off of a monoblock, or a two channel amp? and would a 1000 watt two channel Hifonics Zeus A/B class amp be a good choice to run two kicker CVR 10's? and thanks for that diagram, it helped a lot.
