Help me pick a USB compatible head unit
The reason I liked the head unit so much though, it has a USB cable that I ran down into my console that I can plug a thumb drive into with HOURS of music on it...and it's hidden (not sticking out of the dash or something when it's plugged in).
I like Alpine a LOT, but they don't have any USB head units, Pioneers seem to have good sound quality, but I don't want a television show going on in my dash...but I think the DEH-P690UB would work (too bad the DEH-P880PRS isn't USB as it is a WAY better looking unit).
I REALLY like Eclipse decks...but the good ones have 5 and 8 volt pre-outs...is that ok with amps that are rated 0.2-4.0 volts? The Eclipse 5100 and 7100 are NICE decks.
Looks badass to me and has the ability to do IMPRINT. I'm waiting for it to arrive here at my store. We're a week or two from having them.
I have the pioneer 6900 in my truck and love it. I've only ever hooked my ipod into it and love how easy I can pick out any song I want to listen to. 4v preouts are always a plus. I'd recommend it.

I am hoping it is as slick as it looks.

alpine iDA-X001: good thought; less than stellar presentation. It basically has no audio adjustments for $399. (Just bass and treble. Not even a Q factor)
The current IMPRINT part for the CDA-9887 retails at $249 .
It has the CD for your pc and the Mic for tuning the deck in-car.
The 9886 imprint part hasn't been disclosed yet.

I'm not a audiophile but it sounds good to me. Mainly it was cheap and allowed me to use both my Sirius and my iPod.
