Push Button Start install?

Re: Push Start Button install? I've had it in my t/a for about 8 or 9 months now. I like it. Some of the folks in my local car club don't, but most do. Some say it looks "ricey". 
Some of the older muscle cars of yesterday had them, and the '03 Viper has one too. It took me about an hour and a half (+/-) to install it. Most of the time was spent on enlarging the lighter hole so the button would fit.

Re: Push Start Button install? So does this completely bypass the steering column ignition or do you still have to insert the key and turn it to the ON position before you can use the Push button start?

98sspullin'em, I cut mine off the back of an old floppy drive. If you have a computer repair store in your area, you can get one fron them.

Re: Push Start Button install? I installed the button and had problems with it, for some reason it didn't seem to want to start my car 
So i just disconnected it and kept the button there, one of these days ill try it again to see what was wrong.

Re: Push Start Button install? I actually want to wire up a fan switch to it, I dont smoke so I have no use for the cig lighter, how ever Houston traffic warrants the need for a fan switch.
