understandable - just wanted to be honest upfront with ya. Interesting you can't drive (alone) and still bought a system. Doesn't seem like you're in the car audio section often, and since you asked for our opinions on the setup -- I thought maybe you weren't sure what you ended up with.

Depending on where you bought it from, you may be able to use the same budget towards a higher quality system.

Some people also really like the sound of 6x9s ... or stock HU quality.... ricer exhaust.... etc.

All depends on what else you've heard (in most cases...guess that doesn't really apply to the ricer exhausts).

Hopefully you like it for now -- I guarantee you will not keep it for a couple of years though. Let us know how it turns out.

It is - like I said, I just wasn't sure what you expected for a complete $100 system. For your age and the money you have though, that was a wise decision to not invest too much in it. If I ever made decisions like that, maybe I would actually have money to eat.

I understand the budget thing but really those things sound terrible. My friend bought those and we put them in the trunk of a tuarus and had to pull the back seats down and still sounded like poop. You might like them if your not looking for much. But thats all.

Yes but even after we pulled the seats down and faced the subs toward the front of the car it didnt get any better. Hope you have better luck.

I have noticed the hatch of f-bodys does make a difference because I remember having a single kenwood 12 in the back of my camaro and it hit crazy hard in a custom sealed box i made. I had that same sub in a bandpass box and it never sounded very good.

So maybe it won't sound too bad in a hatch of an f body.

I've had to install one of these systems in an Explorer. A customer had bought it and brought it to me to put in. It makes noise...not real clean...but it will make bass. Actually Visonik has better subs like any other company but those are their bottom of the barrel subs and amp. It will sound like $150.00. You may get a little more out of it because of the way the hatch kind of amplifies things a bit.

Friend has the set of 10's in his V6 Camaro, they aren't great but it's not terrible.
