Relocating Window switches anyone have relocated the window switches?
or in any case a complete makeover of a system that will control the windows?
no need for auto down or anything fancy..

I have not moved the switches, but I have re-done the wiring harness to the switches. They use a special type of "pin-grip" terminal, which is a total bear to find.
If you end up wanting to do a splice-free job, let me know and I can provide all of the terminal part numbers, tools required, and proceedures for attaching the terminals.
The tools, parts, and auto-grade wire will probably run around $100-$300+, depending on the deals you can find. (The job requires 12 ga wire - not cheap.)
You could also do the job without messing with the connectors in the door. If I recall correctly, all of the wires that control the windows come out of the driver's side door and go across the dashboard. You should be alble to tap in to the wires near the cetner tunnel where the auto-down control module is and just create a long pig-tail to run down the center console where the switches would go.

im modifying the stock harness in shape and lenght..
what i really want to do is remove as much wires as possible that go thru the doors.
I can put the 2 door switches inside the center console and call it a day, but that would just be cheap and half ****, not to mention unconfortable...

the problem is that by the way the system is wired, you cant remove the passenger switch, you gotta rewire it somehow so it works..
if we can find a way to remove the passenger buttom from the system and keep it working, we can mold the drivers side as you suggest..

if i maved them to the center console i would just secure the switch inside the door hidden, or chase the wires back and hide it behind the glovebox im sure you coud bypass it though
