window motor
window motor my drivers side window will roll up about 3/4th's and stop, i have to wait about 30 secs till whenever it decides to go up. Is the motor going bad or what else could it be?

i found an easier way to support the window then in that right up.. here is a pic i took
you can get motors at discount auto for 50 bucks with a lifetime warranty..
the first one may take you awhile, but they are a breeze after that.. ive done 5 or so, my two and a few for other people.. i actually have a Tupperware container with everything i need in it lol

ah ha! Thank you Mr. Presto! I've done the driver's side motor, and was paranoid the whole time that the hose method of supporting the glass was going to crap out on me. Now the pass side is starting to go; the 2x4 trick is gonna be much better.
Nino, i think the down, at least, is on a timer circuit. Don't know about the up. I wouldn't worry about it unless the motor runs beyond several seconds.

mine was doing the same thing. you can get a motor off ebay for about 20 bucks shipped with a lifetime warranty or about 60 from autozone with taxes. the cheapest price i got for labor was about 150. if you do it yourself don't do it alone. you'll have to drill out the 4 rivits on the regulator then once you get the regulator and motor off the car you'll drill another 4 bolts that hold the motor to the regulator. USE CAUTION the motor is spring loaded to the regulator. you can also get a new motor and regulator already attached together from autozone for 125 , but they have to order it.
