Need a easy ground

I am trying to use my hard wire smart cord for my Escort 8500 x50. I have the wire ran down the pillar to under the dash. I found a power wire, but haven't found a good place to ground it. please help.....

There is a factory ground stud under each side of the dash behind the kick panel trim.

why dont you just splice it into a ground wire, just find a black wire and splice it into it. good ground.

I tried the metal support for the steering wheel with no luck. I will have to look for a black wire and just try to tap into in. The ground came with a loop on it and i was hoping for an easy way to use it and not cut the loop off.

the metal support for steering wheel should be legit im pretty sure my remote start is grounded there, u sure u have 12 volts on the other side

Thats what i did with my car stereo, but i keep reading that it should be grounded -other then black wire. Anyone know why?

Other than the harness ground? Setting your own directly to the chassis is generally better...though I have never had problems with the factory one provided for the stereo.
