so there is no way to fix this.... when i first got my car it was awesome, worked a long way away.

Hey All,

I usually have no problems with mine but I have seen some places that I parked and it just didn't work. Maybe interference from wireless something. Keep in mind that wireless gadgets are in our lives more and more. THINK ABOUT IT !!!

No but seriously the box is in the passenger side Rocker almost under the dash..

Actually, that's where is was up until 97. Later models have it mounted under the dash on the passenger's side behind the glovebox.

OO yeah! I need to change that bearing and my blinker fluid.. damn come to think of it I need to retension my piston return springs.

if you wanna try something funny, walk as far away as you can with ur keyless remote until it stops working.. then take another 5 steps back .. hold it up to ur side of ur head (temples) and then click it again. it will work .hahaha.. then go even further back and keep doin it. funny **** guys, it works. try it

If you guys want to increase the distnace you are going to have to go with a new alarm system like Viper for example, those things work from very far away

I'm going to bump this old thread up.. If theres a bunch of junk in your car blocking the receiver, its obviously going to impact range.. The solution would be to add an antenna to the receiver or transmitter.. How to do that.. is another question

Transmitter would be easy, its clear to see whats what on the PCB... It would just not be durable enough to hack up our FOBs..

Another option I am going to try is to have a piece of Alu on my key chain that I can hold up to the remote; an attempt to bypass the silly chin/temple manuever.
