Default dimensions...help!

hey guys,

I have a 99 ws6 and don't have access to my car for another week, but I want to build a new box for a 12" alpine SWX-1243D. I was thinking about the pyramid type box someone on here built, with the amps on each side and the sub at the top.

I want the box to sit directly behind the seats on the ledge.

What I need help with is the dimensions of this space? The sub has a depth of 8.6". The sub has a displacement of .2 cu ft.

Im looking for a box between 1.5 - 2.0 cu ft.

I need the dimensions from the horizon to the glass, width of the space and depth. If anyone has these or wouldn't mind measuring a few of these lenghts I would greatly appreciate it...thanks guys

also for those who have done this box feel free to leave your thoughts on it, or if it's better to go with the trunk box

I'll measure for you tonight when I get off of work. I built a custom amp rack in the same spot on my car (no sub there though, used a stealth box) but I used the old luggage tie down rings (removed em) and bolted the rack in their place. I'll send you a PM after I take the measurements. With pics.

Ok, here it is. If I missed any of the measurement specifics that you asked for just let me know. I took a bunch of photos and put the info into the pics themselves. Not sure if I can upload them all here, but I'll try. If you only see a few click on the link to my personal webpage, I've put them all there too just in case. The one thing for sure that I cant answer is the necessary internal dimensions of a sub-box itself (cubic air, etc, etc.) but I know a google search will probably yield a ton of results on that specific topic. Hopefully I can help somebody out on these boards considering I get a crapload of help from the message threads myself. Any more ???'s, just shoot me a PM or reply back on this thread. Take care.
