Default Help me complete my set up.

I removed a system from my car that I just sold, the system was already in there when I bought it. I'm planning to put it in my SS. Below is a picture of what I have. I will post the specs of the AMP's also below.

I am a complete noob when it comes to audio stuff so I need your help. I'm surprised I could not find a complete write up with pictures on how to install a system for our cars (unless there is one?). I'm looking for a Aftermarket CD Deck and I'm low on funds and would like for you guys to recommend me one. Also with wires, which one's do I need? I am planning to buy a box for those speakers. I'm still not sure if those are 10" or 12", need to messure them.

How much do you think I will end up spending to complete my system?

First AMP screwed into the box is a:

P MILLER RSA150.2HC
-Amplifier Type Dual Channel
-Bridgable Bridgable
-RMS Power at 4 Ohms 150 W x 2
-RMS Power at 2 Ohms 220 W x 2
-Performance
-Frequency Response 20 Hz - 20000 Hz

-Signal to Noise Ratio 90 dB

-THD at Rated RMS Power 0.1 %
-Crossover / Equalizer
-Bass Boost With Bass Boost
-Other Features
-Input Voltage 10.5 volt
-Dimensions
-Width 9.75 in.

-Depth 20.1 in.

-Height 2.25 in.

Small AMP is a:

Alpine Flex 4

MAX POWER (EIAJ)
75W x 4 (4 Ohm Stereo) 180W x 2 (Bridged 4 Ohm)

FEATURES
RMS Continuous Power (Watt) (at 14.4V, 20-20 kHz): 4 Ohm Stereo (0.08% THD) 30W x 4; 2 Ohm Stereo (0.3% THD) 40W x 4; Bridged 4 Ohm (0.3% THD) 80W x 2

The speakers are BAZOOKA

Well, just FYI... My one Fi Q12 in a stealthbox will blow that complete Bazooka setup out of the water in terms of both output and SQ. I'd dump them and get something suited for the car, personally.

I'm sure most of everyone in here will have a better set-up them what I have. But remember, this stuff is basically free for me. So I'm just looking for help to complete what I have here.

It looks like that one's an older model. I'd go with the new version, the 5900, which upgraded to 4V pre-outs. That'll give you better sound and performance from your amped speakers than the 2.2V that 5800 has. They'll have the 5900 at Circuit City or Best Buy. Check with Kee too, maybe he has it.

that's the response I was looking for. Its just I can buy that deck for $90 shipped. I was looking for a deck that has 4-5 pre-outs. You know of any deck like that for around $100?

Or if anyone here has one for sale let me know.

I doubt you'll find one, unless it's also an old model, with that feature for around 100. The 5900 is on sale on Circuit City's website, though, for like 159 or something though.

I will put the 5900 in my wish list, what do you guys think about this one?

I like it because it has a USB so I can connect my iPhone through it. I've seen it sell for around $140.

That 5000 deck also has the 4V pre-outs, so you'd be good with that one.

You can never go wrong with Monster Cable. The Tsunami stuff from Circuit City is pretty good, too. I've never used it, but I'm sure the Rockford stuff from Best Buy is good, too. Just don't go buy that stuff at Walmart. Sure, it's cheaper, but it's crappier stuff.

Thanks, but which one do I buy? Meaning which cables and what wattage? Or are they are basically the same?

I would probably just buy a 4 gauge amp kit if I were you. 8 Gauge might work for your setup, but 4 gauge will be better and will give you room to expand later. That'll include your power wire, ground wire, remote turn-on, some connectors, and a fuse holder. As far as what size fuze to use in the holder. Look at your amps and check what fuses are in them. Add them all up. You should have at least that in your power wire fuse, but don't go too much more than that. You'll also need to buy some RCA interconnects. Some amp kits come with them. There is a variety of grades when it comes to them you'll find. As long as you don't buy the cheapo ones, they should be fine. Trust me, you don't want the cheap ones. I once had some basic Phoenix Gold ones and switched them to some good quality Monster Cables and it was an instant noticeable difference in sound quality.

As far as your question about the wattage. . . The wattage rating that you see on the wire kits pretty much is just a recommendation for that wire size. 4 Gauge is usually labeled as like 1000 or 1200 watts.

Oh yeah, and you may want to buy a distribution block or two to split the power/ground up between the two amps.

Thanks for the help, just looked up distribution block and damn I have no idea what to do with that. I'm thinking I should just pay someone to install all this stuff.
