Stock speakers? Doesn't really matter... Kee has MDF ones made to fit the doors. I am running them and they are a ton better than the stockers.

Use the stock ones if you can because they have a shield on top to help prevent the speaker from getting wet. Or you can duplicate it. Just don't use those things that go under the speaker and completely cover it, giving it no room to breathe.

I bet those things are coin from the dealer. I think the MDF pieces from Kee that are predrilled and all were under $20 for the pair. Were even painted black if it matters to you. Better than those plastic rattlers

If you really want to buy the plastic mount it looks like you have to buy it and the speaker as an assembly.

Here's a snapshot from a parts manual, it's item #13

The correct GM part number for the passenger side with Monsoon is 9361859 and it runs around $50-$55(not from the dealer though but from online sources)

I'd hit the junkyards myself or post a WTB in the classifieds on this board if all you want is the mount.

Rainbow W 165 CMXs for woofers. The plastic holders are better than MDF rings (if your speakers aren't too deep for them) because they've got the water shield at the top. Of course, you could rig something like that up if you use MDF rings.

Going out on a limb here since every car I have ever owned never had the plastic pieces like this one but...

Starts raining out. Windows go up. Where is rain going to enter? It for sure should not be on the inside of the glass. On the outside it should pass down the outside of the door. Maybe when I roll the window down? I just don't get it all that much. Material-wise MDF is much better for mounting speakers. Never had any signs of water in any of my cars on the door speakers. If enough water was there to do anything the wiring inside, door slides, window rails and motors would also suffer since they are even closer to the window.
The stock plastic piece only goes from 9 to 3 and is a semi-open grill on the back. It will help reflect some water away should it ever make its way down there but it doesn't assure you of keeping things dry.

TA numbers on mine:

9361879 and 9361889

Both are about $40/ea. through GMPartsDirect but the Camaro is more expensive. Don't know why!

I've had water issues in my doors, so I dunno. The doors are meant to be able to handle water, with the holes at the bottom, etc. Some does get in no matter what.

The TA also stays parked except for Sunny weather unless I get caught out LOL!

You will love those mounts. On my passenger side their is this little location tab that sticks out on the door where I just had to hit the MDF on the edge just a little to clear it with a die-grinder but other than that perfect. I used silicone to the door and silicone from the speaker to the MDF. Wrapped the speaker as much around the edges as possible with Second Skin sound deadener.

Maybe a wrap of deadener around as a shield? Beats me
