symtoms of bad window motor?

symtoms of bad window motor? I have heard a lot of you speak of the problematic window motors that plague F-Bodys.. but I have never really had a problem with mine except for them being slow..
Well last night it was raining [have anything to do with it?] and my window wouldn't roll up! I hit the button a dozen times and it wouldn't even make a sound .. then I cursed and waited a few seconds and hit it again and it went up.
Then it did this same thing again this morning .. but this afternoon its working fine.
What did your window motors do before they took the big ****?
Is there a writeup on replacing the widow motors?

] Re: symtoms of bad window motor? Mine did the same thing. Its time for a new window motor.
The motor is getting really weak and as such it pulls too much current. Somewhere in the car there is a breaker that throws to keep from burning the motor up. After 30 seconds or so it cools and you can move the window a little more before it throws again.

Re: symtoms of bad window motor? mine did that a few days ago and the plug that hooks onto the switch was just a little loose. I took the switch assembly off the door and pluged it in better and booya it worked again.

Re: symtoms of bad window motor? I had the same problem, I had mine replaced. It was under warranty. But, maybe you blew a fuse, but I doubt it. The motor is probably getting weak. Also, the automatic door locks wear down fast too, I had to get mine replaced once already.

I had the same problem, I had mine replaced. It was under warranty. But, maybe you blew a fuse, but I doubt it. The motor is probably getting weak. Also, the automatic door locks wear down fast too, I had to get mine replaced once already.

Mine did that, and somehow the window motor was full of water (ODD???)
I replaced it with the autozone $50 lifetime warranty version, and it has been fine since.
It took me about 25 minutes to replace mine, but it had been replaced before.
If they have not been replaced before you need to drill out your inner door skin, and 3 rivets. There are some great "how to's" on the web.
Average time, should be 3 hours or less for the first timer.
