Default white lights

which light bulbs do i need for my headlights/daytime running lights that glow white or blueish? the stock ones are clear but they glow yellow. i've got clear corners. i'm going to get some stealth bulbs for my turn signals so i just need high and low beams, the running lights and the rear side markers. thanks.

also. my clear corners let in water and have been blowing my lights, what do i need to seal them up? will blue rtv work?

Get you some Silverstars and be done with that. I suppose RTV will be fine for sealing light assemblies as long as it's not going to be visible.

Silverstars are just for headlights. And don't go HID; the kits are illegal and they blind us other drivers.

Also, the slightly yellowish ones around 4000-4500K actually give the best visibility and don't have as much glare to other drivers.

Then go for Silverstar headlights. They have blue paint on the bulbs that tints them to be a little more neutral if not slightly over towards the blue look. 6000K is too blue, but it's not the really extreme, unusable stuff like 8000K.

ok thanks, what about the DRL's? doesn't have to be real bright, just not yellowish.

My car only lights the ambers during the day. That's how it's been ever since I got it. Does yours do something else?

not **** man...trying to get back into an ls1 right now as we speak...I have HID's and they are nice and all, but just go buy some silverstars...those should take that yellowish look away from the lights...if not to get some "blue" ones from the zone or something...they are more WHITISH than yellow light.

BTW u wouldn't wanna trade your rims for some z06's if I get this camaro i'm looking at would ya?

yea they are identical to what came on my black car...I would basically do it so that I could put some money in the bank and save up for some other mods that aren't done to the car yet...they would be 17's up front and 18s in the back just like on my Z

Check it when it's light. Headlights that come on when it gets dark are different. But either way, replacing the headlights will do it.

Don't want to spend the money on HID's but will for silverstars? Silverstars are $40 for a pair and u can get HIDs on ebay for like $65 shipped. Yet HIDs will last 10x longer and look 10x better.

And blind other drivers, be illegal, and no, those cheap kits don't tend to last particularly long. A decent HID setup, retrofitting HID projectors from a car that has them, will cost you $500+ and it will STILL be illegal.

And if by 10x better you mean your avatar there, I'd say it looks pretty bad on your car. I'll take stock headlights any day of the week.
