how to wire the subs

i have a p6002 RF amp and two 10in p210s8 subs i just picked up. they arent wired to the amp... my question is, the subs say they are 8 ohms, and the amp says its 2ohms i believe. so how do i wire them together correctly? i dont know much about amps and subs... is it fine to just wire them in normally, ie left sub right sub? sorry if this is a newb question, but the different ohm readings threw me off and i just wanted to make sure i was installnig them correctly. Thanks!

http://www.crutchfield.com/learningc...F8%2Dohm%5F2ch I'd watch your gains though, if what I saw is correct the amp is rated for 600 watts RMS and your subs are rated for 200 each. That's an extra 100 per sub when wired this way.

thanks for the link. So i from what ive been reading on a few different sites, including RF website, if i wire the two subs in parallel, i will present the amp with a 4ohm load, just liek the link you posted says. On RF site it shows that the amp puts out 150W x 2 @ 4-Ohms RMS. So i actually would still be under the rated max power right?

If the subs put out 200watts rms @ 8ohms, can they only handle 100 watts rms at 4ohms? Which means im over powering them slightly?

wire em in parallel to a 4 ohm load and bridge the amp

this gives you 600wrms / 2 subs = 300wrms per sub so be careful you have extra power on tap

the subs handle 200wrms

but doesnt the fact the speakers are 8 ohms change anything?

Wiring them in parallel will halve the resistance that the amp sees, so the amp will recognize a 4 ohm load if it's bridged. If they were 4 ohm speakers, parallel wiring would give you a 2 ohm load.
