what to use to install sail panel speakers

what to use to install sail panel speakers bought a set of kicker mid bass speakers
i knew they wouldnt fit in the existing holes, i just wanted to know what everyones using to make them work?
self tapping screw?
i just dont want this thing rattling its *** off like my door panels do after i put my infinities in there. thx

Silicone and sound deadener are your friends! Silicone speaker to metal and wrap with sound deadener. For screws use a small bit first and follow with a #8 or so metal screw.

Probably more work to do it this way vs. drilling new holes, but I didn't have to worry about measuring or centering anything up.

how long of a screw did you use there hatchetman337, i think im going to use st screws as well and some of that 3m stciky foam to keep the rattles away. they have to be pretty short screws im guessing, doesnt look like much room for error

i eneded up using a 3/4 in self tapping screw, i put some 3m tape w/ foam backin b/w the screws. not rattles i can tell from these speakers !
now to fix the door rattles since i instaleld the infinities!
the kickers i installed btw are freaking sweet. more then i expected from a 6.5 sub, but not a ton of bass like a rear mounted 10/12/15 or anything like that.
