Look at that! Oh so close. Can I get the two, long engine mount to bracket bolts in? No. Only one.

Notice the hex bolt head? That really shouldn't be there. Holley/Hooker should have pressed in threaded wheel stud. I tried to use a regular bolt but obviously that didn't work.

Getting close. I have to admit that I dabbed just a small amount of grease on both ends of the red, polyurethane motor mounts just to help them slide easily inside the "ears" of the swap brackets.

Yes!!!!! With just a little bit of wiggling, the driver's side clamshell fell right into place. I got that long bolt in there as quick as I could!!

I got a 10% discount from Tractor Supply Company on the welder. I purchased the brand new welding gas bottle (filled with AR/CO2) locally for a very good price. Renting a bottle is just not my MO.

Simple with no digital readouts or anything like that. I'm not saying digital is bad, I'm just saying that this is a no frills machine.

Remember how much I dislike china made products? Lots of chinese wire out there but I found this on Amazon for less money than buying china wire locally at TSC.

The grounding clamp wouldn't open wide enough to fit the SFC but I used a C clamp and a piece of bare welding cable to connect the grounding clamp to the SFC.

Front, inside. This was a very difficult weld as there was a gap here due to the bent up "frame" from the previous owner improperly jacking up the car. I also burned through that thin frame at least once here, IIRC.

Peel and Seal that I purchased from Lowes. I actually like working with this better than the Quick Roof. They appear to be the same, tar like, aluminum backed material. The aluminum is different and, obviously the P&S comes in a much bigger roll.

The number showing on the dial indicator doesn't match up with what is written on the plate because this picture was taken about 10 days later when my offset dowel pins arrived. I installed them in the wrong direction and got the terrible number shown on the dial indicator.

The whole Tremec shifter assembly was contacting the coupe's transmission tunnel. I did some online research and found that the tunnels on manual transmission cars were modified.
