I went to town on that 8.8 and completely wore out my Harbor Freight cupped, wire brush. I hate china made stuff so I looked on eBay and found some NOS, leftover made in USA cupped, wire brushes. They were almost as cheap as the china stuff from HF!

Those wires can launch out of the cup like little, needle missiles. Wear appropriate clothing and good eye protection!

Makeshift paint booth to keep falling debris out of my paintwork and to limit black overspray. It worked very well.

The clock was just so I could keep up with the time required between coats of paint.

Here is the rear anti-sway bar and painted front anti-sway bar brackets. I put long bolts through the mounting holes of the anti-sway bars. I was able to rest the bolts on top of the jackstands and that way I could paint all around the bars and not have to lay the painted bars down and mar the finish.

Wind and rain knocked down this very large tree in my front yard in April 2020.

Here is the Mustang main wiring harness out of my donor car. My harness was in better shape than the harness that came in the coupe and I'd never hacked it up.

I protected the fresh paint as much as I could. By the time these pictures were taken, the Summit Racing Chassis Shield, satin black paint was long since fully cured and hard.

With the mechanical helpers, I got the rear end in place and installed. You can see my Maximum Motorsports Extreme-Duty Rear Lower Control Arms installed.

You can see part of the PHB setup on the floor. My pen is pointing to one of the holes that I had to drill in the "frame" of the car to mount the bar. The MM instructions are written well and I don't remember having a problem with the install.

Check out my mechanical helpers holding up the PHB! In the youtube video, Eric talks about holding this bar up firmly against the frame. I used the gas charged shocks that came out of the coupe to hold this bar up against the frame. Its what you've gotta do when you're the last guy on earth that works on cars!

You can see the required groove that MM cut into the Bilstein’s body. It cuts across the blue sticker on the left damper.

This is how you get the big circle clips down into the cut groove.

These are genuine Ford wheels that I had to wait about 6 months for back in 2007. When they finally arrived and I opened the first box, wow! They were worth the wait.

Obviously this is the first time that these 5-lug wheels had ever been on the coupe.

Aren't these some great looking wheel? I love them but sadly, they're too narrow.

I'd never hoisted an aluminum headed engine. I wasn't sure how strong those bolt holes were in the head so I was quite nervous. The last thing that I wanted to do was strip out or break one of the bolt holes!

IIRC, I ended up stacking a bunch of washers on the rear bolts like I did in the previous picture.

Flipped upside down on the engine stand. Such a shame to have to remove a brand new, USA made oil pan for a china made oil pan.

If you look closely, you can see the lines that I measured out and drew on the windage tray so I knew where to cut it. The Holley/Hooker instructions were good. I thought I could use that Dremel but I ended up having to use a die grinder with a cutoff wheel.

Not bad. I cleaned up all the edges with a file before I cleaned then reinstalled the tray.
