This video is enough to make any fan of high-performance, rear wheel drive vehicles smile. After all, we all love the sounds of a loud and proud engine, and the whine of a Prius certainly doesn’t qualify.

This burnout video takes us across the pond to a burnout competition in Vasteras, Sweden, where a right hand drive Holden Monaro with an LS1 V8 shows off what GM performance is all about. American buyers will recognize the general appearance of the Monaro, as in the mid-2000s it was sold here in the United States as the Pontiac GTO.

In this video we get to see a cop pull up and arrest the driver of a beautiful Chevrolet Chevelle SS, who just moments before was doing some lovely donuts on the street.

Within those walls is a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. The engine is 346 cubic inches (for now) and has a S475 Turbo. The ride also has twin Walbros, FIC 1000cc injectors, and more. The Trans Am has 775 horsepower and 669 torque at 16 psi with regular pump gas.

A few months ago we showed you the first spy shots of the new Cadillac ATS-V.R racecar built by the guys from Pratt & Miller, the same outfit that built the C7.R racecar and the same race team that helped Chevy engineer the new C7 Z06 road car.
