This week’s wallpaper photo is a LS3 powered 1971 customized Camaro snapped at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was built by Jared Zimmerman and Lou Santiago from Car Fix.
Luxury sedan or not, no one can deny that the Cadillac CTS-V is one hell of a car. The 2005 version put out 400 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque — and that’s when it’s just stock.
Handful is probably not the best word I’d use when describing a 1969 Twin Turbo Camaro that’s pushing over 1000 hp. It’s probably better to call it a death machine, or fulfilling your life insurance policy early, or something to that nature. Or if you are the man that built it, you could describe it as fun as all hell, and I’m inclined to agree with him.
This week’s Drag Race video features a 4th generation Pontiac Firebird packing an LS1 V8 racing against a late model Dodge Ram 2500. While you would think right away that an LS1 Firebird would thrash a heavy duty Dodge truck, this diesel powered Ram pickup definitely appears to have a little work done.
This year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada was pretty awesome for a trade show. Where else can you find thousands of specialty parts for your cars and trucks all under one roof? There were literally tons of killer rides on display and lots of people trying to sell you stuff you don’t need.
This video is enough to make any fan of high-performance, rear wheel drive vehicles smile. After all, we all love the sounds of a loud and proud engine, and the whine of a Prius certainly doesn’t qualify.
This burnout video takes us across the pond to a burnout competition in Vasteras, Sweden, where a right hand drive Holden Monaro with an LS1 V8 shows off what GM performance is all about. American buyers will recognize the general appearance of the Monaro, as in the mid-2000s it was sold here in the United States as the Pontiac GTO.
