I wouldnt so much worry about how black the black is. Wouldnt you rather have something that shines like a fancy new nickle?? Save some more money for lots of clear and lots of wetsanding. Thats what I would do.

I know what he's asking.
There are brown blacks, there are blue blacks, gray blacks, and then there are black blacks.
Honestly I don't have an answer, but if you look at different cars, you'll see what I mean. GM black is more of a brown-black.
Southern Polyurethanes used to have a black black, but it was discontinued.

This is 100% true. Sikkens is by far the blackest paint we've ever used in our shop. Check out the '67 Mustang we did, it's sprayed in Sikkens. We get comments about the "blackness" of the paint at every show.

I have sikkens on my T/A. But i dont have a camera that can do it justice. I have a brother with an Onyx black GMC truck and my car is way blacker.

Depending on how black of a black you would consider to be blackest of all black, black is a color of personal black recognition, because each black has significant black variation among many black enthusiast.
P.S. I repainted my car (yesterday) onyx black....and that was same dark junks, or at least I thought.
