I v got a 62 chevy II. In street trim they are usually in the 3000-3200 lb area. Thats with a old school sbc.....and no real weight savings. Pretty easy to get to 2800-2900 lbs.....
Some of the race cars are in the 2400-2500 lb area....

My old 62 Chevy II weighed 2940 without me in it. Had a Heidts front clip - no cage. It ran 132 in the 1/4 when I ran it once on the stock 3.08 open rearend and 235 tires. This was at 10# boost with an S475 Borg Warner on a stock 5.3.
If you are on a budget, I would go with the S480 Borg Warner turbo, 80# Mototron injectors and an ebay 4" thick CXracing chinese intercooler. I have used those intercoolers to 850 at the wheels without issue and good IATs.

I notched the core support to fit a 90 degree elbo on the intercooler so the piping will go under the core support and radiator and then come up from there this was the only way I could get everything to fit the nova has a ton of room every were but around the grill
