3bar Initial Tune Results - HP TUNERS - T76 Speed Inc
We just got the new 3bar HP Tuners software loaded into one of the newest Speed Inc Eliminator T76 Turbo cars.
This is the same car that we just took our YSi tuner kit off. Same 348c.i. Speed Inc Sportsman motor but with a smaller cam.
This is just the initial results and with only 16#'s of boost.

can you get us a graph where the tires stay on the dyno.
very sweet though, im cant wait till they release the 3 bar to the public.
how does it compare for ease of tunning?
can you get it to idle well.
have you driven it on the street yet, how does it do for part throttle?

We have 10 feet of snow on the ground so we dont have any street time on the cars. INTMD8 will have to answer the tuning questions. He is working on another one of the turbo cars on the dyno right now, he ususally checks the board on his lunch break.

Nice.
809rwhp is sweet.
So if the car peaks at say 6200, what do you with to the VE table from say 6200 to the rev limiter, say 6600. Do you just populate the VE table with the same value that you used at 6200?

Speed Ink is gonna install a CAS TT kit on my TA within the next few weeks.. You guys put on my invoice "2 Bar Density Software." What's the difference between 2 and 3 bar??? I'm having you guys do a conservative tune.... Thanks!

Actually, the 2 bar/3 bar capability in the upcoming version of HP Tuners is supposed to extend the existing, VE grid... so you don't lose the resolution.

Is that a turbonetics T76? You guys should think about trying the PTE's 74mm turbo (ie a Garrett GT42 compressor wheel, there is a map on Garrett's GT catalog PDF). Flows better and surges less than a 76 (at least thats what the maps show, and the results on Supras). Probably wouldn't be a big improvement though, just something to think about for the guys who are putting kits together. Hell, according to Turbonetics, the T72 flows just as much as the 76 as is less likely to surge (although I don't guess anyone has surging problems on these motors?)
What is the hot side of the turbo? CR of the engine?
