Default Writeup On dash Swap

Is there any writeups that show how to covert 93-97 dash to a 98 and up dash?

There is somewhere, I just don't know where. I have done it before and can tell you it is fairly easy though. Everything bolts right in.

Only thing you need write up for is gauge cluster. You need a 1997 Gauge Cluster and you need the plug for it.

You have to de-pin the wires from your factory plug and re-pin to the 1997 style. That is time consuming but if you find the write-up not hard.

Other than that you have to extend some wires for the hatch release and I think that is as complicated as it gets.

I did the swap for 818camaro His name is Steve, shoot him a PM maybe he remembers where the write-up was.

ok yea. what i am doing is i got a 98 ss camaro that was hit really hard in the rear. Car only had 7*,*** miles on it. We are taking the motor and tranny and all that and putting it in mine. Also we are probably going to swap all the dash so that all the gauges will work. THen after that i might put the front clip on my car to. Alot of work going to be done to it but hopefully it will be worth it.

Why not fix the 98SS with your car (be worth more). Regardless, LT1 front end should be a keeper

yea but not all the gauges will work correctly once i swap the ls1 into my car and my dash is all cracked and this dash is perfect. we already bought the car so i am going to use all the good parts available to me. my front end has seen its better day so i am gonna use the ss front clip on mine. i love both front ends but the ls1 looks better to me and the lighting on the 93-97's are horrible IMO.
