hey i was just wondering if after u spray the tail lights with vht nightshade do u wet sand before u spray on the clear coat????

you dont have to clear you could jsut wetsand and buff...thats what i did worked great

I just painted and cleared and then wetsanded and buffed and its still as black as the paint!

Once you wetsand the VHT, then apply a few thick layers of clear. If you do it right, you won't need to wetsand the clear. If you have a buffer, you can use Mequiar's Scratch-X or other fine abrasive. If you do it by hand you'll need to put a little more effort into it. Obviously, afterwards you're going to need to polish and wax it for a glossy look. Here's a pic of mine after these steps:
