Talking Tropicare PC and SIP Review on my WS.6

I purchased the Porter Cable Kit and bought the SIP and carnuba wax. My car was covered with scratches and spider webs all over the body when I bought it. I used Zaino stuff but quickly found out that I need a buffer and the correct compound. Steve at Tropicare has been awesome, answered all my questions. If you've been waiting to do this don't wait any longer!

These first two pics are of my rear fender and the top of the wing. When my friends saw the pics they said it looked like I scratched it on purpose, nope, it was that bad just from improper washing. I don't know if its advised, but I used the SIP on my tail lights and it made them look brand new! I was amazed!

Next two are of the wing when I was half way done. I'm working my way to the right, you can see on the right of the pic how many scratches there were. You can see on the left there are still some very deep scratches that wouldn't come out, but the SIP is removing about 90-95% of the scratches.

These final pics are when I was all done after the carnuba wax, the car looks incredible and I feel so proud again to go cruisin around!

Not to knock your work but it looks like there are still some scratches on the hood?? Maybe a little more time with the sip. Did you use the swirl cutter from them too?

There are still scratches here and there around the body. The SIP did a great job but the really deep scratches wouldn't come out, and I worked on it for a long time. I'm gonna need to upgrade to the final step up which is one more above the SIP and get out those last imperfections before the Pontiac Car Show in July.

SIP is good but it isn't a replacement for a good compound for neglected paint.

Did you use the yellow or the orange pad with the sip?

It is important to appreciate that significant improvement has taken place with this machine/pad/product combination on his car. As one gets experience this combo, additional passes will result in a clearer finish with each time that it would be done. Remember patience is the key because a safe and user friendly PC is being used with the moderately aggressive combination to reach the desired result.

An aggressive yellow pad may be faster but could inflict more hazing and micro-marring when used with this more abrasive product combo.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
